On March 22, 2016, Alicia Downey returned to her alma mater, Boston College Law School, to serve as a judge in the Wendell F. Grimes Moot Court Competition. Working in teams of two, third year law students presented appellate arguments in a criminal case in which the defendant challenged the constitutionality of a police search. In addition to competing for top honors in oral advocacy, the students submitted appellate briefs for consideration by a separate panel of judges.
